Khoj Cloud — operator closure statement ↗ · Checked 22 Oct 2026

Verification notes

Shutdown: The original app entrance is an affirmative, team-signed completed sunset statement dated April 15, 2026. That displayed day is inferred from the dated statement, not a separately measured service cutoff or a verified first announcement. The actual cutoff day, hour and time zone are not independently fixed. This covers the whole named, subscribed Khoj Cloud service with its own app.khoj.dev account entry and document-to-answer/research/agent workflow. The original docs and cloud-service terms establish the managed service separately from self-hosting. The surviving open-source code, user-operated instances, Open Paper and Pipali are excluded. Retained documentation that still links Try Khoj Cloud is historical identity evidence, not proof that the retired service resumed. No account, export or deletion was tested. Closure source

Launch: The operator says the project had become a cloud service by November 2023. The November 19, 2023 version 1.0 release supports cloud multi-user hosting, but does not independently establish the first public Cloud launch day. The earlier April 2021 open-source project origin is a different event.
