Verification notes

Shutdown: The January 8, 2024 original MoneyToday report states that REMY ended service on December 29 of the previous year and quotes a Kakao representative on refocusing the business. This supports the actual December 29, 2023 service-end day, not a date inferred from the report’s publication. The July 2022 operator release establishes the separately named AI reading/listening application. This is not useremy.com’s unrelated video-answer app or another same-name assistant. The first closure announcement day and cutoff hour/time zone were not established; continuing Kakao services are excluded. Closure source

Launch: The operator’s July 18, 2022 release introduces the available app; only July 2022 launch precision is used, without asserting an independently verified first availability day.
Location: South Korea · Seongnam. The August 2022 original on-site interview locates Kakao Brain’s headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. This is the historical operator-headquarters city, not a dedicated REMY office. GeoNames Seongnam-si city coordinates are rounded to two decimals. Location source · Coordinate source
