Verification notes
- Shutdown
- The original June 2,2022 Pinterest announcement explicitly planned to sunset the entire THE YES app and website after the acquisition. It is a dated announcement-decision proxy, not a measured last customer session or a claim that service ceased that day. Completion is independently confirmed by founder Julie Bornstein in the original Index Ventures direct interview, whose publication metadata dates it to December 3,2025: she explicitly says THE YES got shut down. The actual final customer-access day/hour/timezone remain unknown, and serviceEndedAt is intentionally absent. Whole AI-personalized shopping across web/app is one product, not each OS or model; Pinterest and the later Daydream service are outside scope. The old company-managed profile ties THE YES to its own San Francisco headquarters and separately lists Burlingame/New York offices; location is not inherited from the acquirer. The original retired domain currently denies access, but HTTP403 is not the closure evidence. Closure source

- Launch
- The original founder interview describes a planned March17,2020 launch delayed by two months; no exact first public day is inferred. The company’s2018 founding is not product availability.
- Location
- United States · San Francisco. Original product/operator-managed profile links theyes.com and explicitly lists SanFrancisco as headquarters and primary city, distinct from additional Burlingame/NewYork offices. This is a self-reported historical operator-HQ proxy, not the parent company’s location. Rounded GeoNames city point. Location source · Coordinate source
