Verification notes
- Shutdown
- This separately named LINE conversation service recreated Kahoko using context-aware deep-learning responses; it is not LINE, the drama or the underlying goo AI technology. Nippon Television Network Corporation, NTT Resonant Inc. and Forecast Communications Inc. jointly operated it. Their July 7, 2017 launch release also announced a September 30 planned end. Completion is independently stated on the original product page. ORICON’s October 2 report describes the final message sent to users and confirms the actual September 30 end; a later first-hand conference account by the named operator representative corroborates the September completion. The display date is therefore an actual end day, not an expired-plan inference. Cutoff hour and timezone are unknown. The contemporaneous joint release explicitly locates all three cooperators’ headquarters in Tokyo’s Minato ward. AI Nana-chan is a separate named service. Closure source

- Location
- Japan · Tokyo. The original July 7, 2017 joint release explicitly places all three cooperators’ headquarters in Minato, Tokyo. This is a product-period operator-headquarters city, not an inferred company-name or hosting location. The GeoNames city point is rounded to two decimal places, not an office coordinate.
