Sources and verification
- Shutdown
- October 10, 2018 is the actual app-closure day expressly confirmed in the operator’s current profile, not an inferred proxy or the September 24 Slack acquisition day. The original closure-announcement date, cutoff hour and time zone remain unverified. This record covers the complete independent Astro email/calendar app across its standalone clients; the Astrobot Slack integration is supporting context rather than the sole product being cataloged. Slack’s continuing platform is outside the closure scope. The team’s original article establishes AI-assisted inbox organization and natural-language email/calendar tasks. The operator brand Astro Technology is verified, but its legal entity and operating location are not established from the primary sources used here. This app is unrelated to the Astro web framework, Amazon Astro or other same-name products. Closure source
