Sources and verification
- Shutdown
- May 18, 2026 is the completed-retirement day explicitly stated in the current Microsoft Learn overview and change history, not a proxy. Older index/FAQ pages still describe an October 1, 2026 plan; those stale future-tense pages are not completion evidence and the current explicit completed statement takes precedence. This covers the complete named Metrics Advisor service, including its web workspace for ingestion, automatically selected anomaly models, feedback, diagnostic trees and notifications; it is not an API endpoint or the broader Azure platform. Azure Monitor, Fabric and the open-source anomaly detector continue separately. The original retirement-announcement day, cutoff hour/time zone and first public-launch day are unverified. December2022 is a new portal preview, not the first product launch. Microsoft is the sourced operator; no product-specific office/location or data-deletion audit is claimed. Closure source
