- The displayed May 28, 2025 is an explicitly inferred observation proxy: that is the publication date of the co-founders’ first-party post confirming that Moxie had already shut down. The actual final user-access day, first shutdown announcement day, hour and timezone are not established. The retrospective identifies the whole academic AI platform, its real users and the decision to end it; their continuing podcast, Substack and educational consulting are separate activities. The April 2024 direct interview ties the platform to Academic Insight Lab and describes independent customer and university subscriptions, source exploration, document summarization and research writing support. The www.moxielearn.ai domain now displays parking content and is not used as shutdown proof.
