SmartWriter Founder Team — dated retrospective closure explanation ↗ · Checked 10 Oct 2026
Sources and verification
- Shutdown
- The certified SmartWriter Founder Team answered a former customer on January 8, 2025, retrospectively explaining that SW had been shutting down nearly a year earlier and that users had received two months of notices. The statement concerns SW as a whole; it does not limit closure to new accounts, lifetime plans or a LinkedIn feature, and offers no resumption plan. The displayed day is an inferred dated-statement proxy; the actual technical cutoff and first announcement day, hour and time zone remain unverified. The founder attributed the decision to a LinkedIn cease-and-desist; the underlying legal matter was not independently verified. The original marketing page remains, but its separately opened app signup currently disables creation of new accounts. That restriction alone is not closure proof; the retrospective founder explanation is the basis. Customer comments are corroborative observations, not authoritative proof of acquisition or account migration. Smartlead and Five2one’s other products are outside this closure. The original footer identifies the Five2one brand and registered 521 Products Pty Ltd operator. Closure source
