Verification notes

Shutdown: The March 19, 2025 founder retrospective says the team shut Genie down and pulled the plug, and that Genie disappeared from the children’s daily use. The displayed day is inferred from that dated permanent-closure retrospective; it is not the independently verified final service cutoff or first shutdown notice. The actual final service day remains unverified. The original founder launch establishes an independent genie.gg/app entrance and a complete child-facing generative conversation, story, art and play workflow. The current YC outbound company link was later changed to Pre; that successor branding does not rename or extend Genie. Cutoff time zone is unknown. Closure source
